Heatwaves have the country in a chokehold and we need something cool to sip on! I don’t know about you all but I LOVE WATERMELON! For the past few weeks I’ve been diving into some smaller ones by myself because they seem to be sweeter than the larger ones. I personally am not the greatest at picking out watermelon so this is kinda where this recipe stemmed from. Typically if I come across a watermelon that just isn’t giving what its supposed to give in terms if sweetness then I just blend it, sweeten it a bit, and sip it through a straw. With that being said, this recipe is simple. Watermelon, Lemons, Basil, and Sugar. Now this isn’t your typical lemonade. Watermelon Basil Lemonade is more of a blended beverage so anticipate this drink having some texture to it! And I used lemons but I think limes are a great option as well. And I did pretty much eyeball all these ingredients so I’d use this recipe loosely and adjust accordingly to your taste. Enjoy!
